Scott D. Butcher is a photographer of the natural and built environment, specializing in landscapes, cityscapes, and architectural photography.

He learned photography from the New York Institute of Photography and also holds a B.S. in Marketing from the Pennsylvania State University.

By day, Scott is the Director of Business Development for JDB Engineering, Inc., an integrated engineering and consulting firm (http://www.jdbengineering.com). He is a researcher and writer of local history in his hometown of York, PA, and the author of "York's Historic Architecture," from The History Press," Postcard History Series: York" from Arcadia Publishing and "Civil War Walking Tour of York, PA" from the York County Heritage Trust. He is also the author and photographer of several "coffee table" keepsake books from Schiffer Publishing, including "York: America's Historic Crossroads," "Delaware Refelections," and "Gettysburg Perspectives." Other books include "Spooky York, Pennsylvania" from Schiffer Publishing and "Marketing in the Building Industry" from Booklocker.com. Current projects include photo books on Tombstone, AZ, Lancaster, PA, and Tucson, AZ.

He has exhibited his photos at Yorkfest, City Art Gallery, Fisher's of York (opening show), Christ Lutheran Church, PeoplesBank, and Community Banks. His photos have appeared in American Heritage, Antique Automobile, Pennsylvania, York County Visitors Guide, Revolutionary York Visitors Guide, ShowcasePA!, York County Quality of Life Guide, and RelocationLink: York County, among others.
